Battle of Midway
Promises to be a good site, but contains too many dead links compared to the actual information encountered. However, a number
of treasures, especially Midway Art and a number of rarely-seen Torpedo 8 photographs.
Guadalcanal Online
John Nicholas' excellent Guadalcanal site, including veterans information, battle descriptions, pictures, and a bunch of other
information.

Excellent informative site, unfortunately not updated very frequently. Especially noteworthy for the huge number of excellent
pictures!

The Battleship Page
Iowa-class history, and excellent other history as well, including overviews of Leyte Gulf, battleship history, and
various other issues.

U.S.S. Texas Memorial
Not-so great site giving mainly visitors information and a short service history. Nothing there, really, that DANFS doesn't
have already.
U.S.S. Arizona Memorial Museum Association
So-so site, with little information on Arizona herself, but a good brief overview over the attack with excellent
paintings.
U.S.S. Colorado Unofficial Homepage
A short service history, a few pictures. Promises to get better when and if the promised Sailor Stories are added. Good
for reunion information.
U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Memorial
Very good site doing a fine job in summing up the history of that battleship. Slightly poor navigation.
U.S.S Washington BB-56
Stories, history, pictures, technology and reunion information: what more would you want? Also highly interesting: World War
II plus 55 years, a day-by-day account of World War II written up 1994-1995.
U.S.S. Massachussetts at Battleship Cove
Again, not so great. Gets a star more than Texas mainly because it has very interesting pictures of Massachussetts
drydocking in 1999, and because it also has histories of other ships at Battleship Cove (MA).
U.S.S. Alabama Battleship Memorial Park
Rather poor site, with little information on Alabama, though the usual Park information. Apparently, there is a fair
number of aircraft photos on the site too, but I couldn't get to load them.
U.S.S. Iowa Veteran's Association"
Very good site, very good navigation. Lots of pictures, stories, history, reunion information, and everything else a ship-specific
website needs.
U.S.S New Jersey
Okay site with a modest amount of historical information. Not so much World War II history as current information.
U.S.S. Missouri Memorial
Fairly good site, mainly about visiting Missouri. If you dig for them, you find a fair amount of history and a score
of interesting photographs.

U.S.S. Nicholas, DD-449
Dave McComb's excellent site on Nicholas and Fletcher-class destroyers in general. The most extensive photo collection of any posted here.
